EXPLORE FROM HERE
Desert Retreat makes a comfortable home base for exploring some of southeastern Nevada’s best scenery, history and outdoor recreation. Spend the day hiking through Cathedral Gorge State Park, exploring Pioche’s historic Main Street, heading out on nearby OHV trails, fishing at Eagle Valley Reservoir or simply slowing down and enjoying the mountain air. At night, come home, pour a drink, play a round of cards and step outside to a sky filled with stars.
HISTORIC PROPERTY NOTICE
While Desert Retreat has been thoughtfully updated and offers a more modern stay, it is still a 1920s Pioche home. As with many properties in this historic mountain town, guests may encounter gravel, uneven outdoor surfaces, steps and seasonal conditions.
Snow and ice can create slippery areas during winter months, so please use appropriate caution when entering and moving around the property. Desert Retreat is designed for guests who want the character and adventure of Pioche with a little more modern comfort waiting for them at the end of the day.

Location
- From Las Vegas: Take I-15 North to Exit 64 for US-93 North. Continue through Alamo and Caliente toward Pioche. Take NV-321/Pioche Road into town, then follow GPS to Ely Street.
- From St. George: Take UT-18 North toward Enterprise. Turn west onto UT-56, which becomes NV-319 at the Nevada border. In Panaca, turn right onto US-93 North toward Pioche. Take NV-321/Pioche Road into town, then follow GPS to Ely Street.
- From Cedar City: Take UT-56 West through Newcastle and Modena. Continue onto NV-319 West. In Panaca, turn right onto US-93 North toward Pioche. Take NV-321/Pioche Road into town, then follow GPS to Ely Street.
- From Salt Lake City: Take I-15 South to US-6 West toward Delta. Continue on US-6 into Nevada, then turn south onto US-93 toward Pioche. Take NV-321/Pioche Road into town, then follow GPS to Ely Street.
Pioche is served by US-93 and NV-321.
Cell service can be limited along the rural highways, so guests should download their route before leaving.
